In My Castle of Ruin

The silence of my life
This castle of ruin
The shattered glass, plaster peeling
Bricks becoming earth
From whence they came
The battlements still stand
Noble as nothingness
The castle echoes with laughter
Of those whose have been asleep
For far too long
The screams- I hear them also
Blood in my ears
Covered my skin
Struggled through my heart
As I watched them struggle for life
All that was given...
Was death
Cold and sweet
Long and silent
Fills my insides
Like yesterday
That blends with today
When nothing matters anymore
Except the calling of my name
This castle of ruin
Ruined, soiled, fractured me
Leave me to die
With the skeletons of my
Mother
My father
